For car park owners and operators
Most public and private multi-storey car parks and parking garages use outdated and inefficient lighting technologies that consume an unnecessary amount of electricity and emit pollutants. The alternative is LED lighting systems.
Free conversion programme
- Contact with regional LED specialists at Equans Switzerland.
- Analysis of the current situation and initial impartial (product-neutral) consultation in the multi-storey car park or parking garage.
- Installation of a test area in the multi-storey car park or parking garage.
- Evaluation of the test area trial, including analysis of energy efficiency and CO2 savings, calculation of payback, demonstration of positive side effects such as optimised brightness, safety, elimination of unnecessary lights and anti-theft protection.
- Removal of the test area and conclusion of the test programme.
After completion of the test programme, the car park owner is free to request and accept a quote for the installation of a fixed lighting system based on LED technology.
Funding programme
ProKilowatt
The Swiss Federal Office of Energy (SFOE) has introduced the ProKilowatt scheme to fund projects that help make electricity consumption more cost-effective.
It includes converting outdated lighting systems in multi-storey car parks and parking garages to LEDs. Equans Switzerland’s consulting services and energy efficiency and payback calculations are therefore free of charge for the end user, with ProKilowatt meeting the costs.
ProKilowatt terms and conditions
You can benefit from the ProKilowatt funding scheme if you, as the owner or operator of a multi-storey car park or parking garage, meet the following conditions:
- The site is in Switzerland.
- The existing lighting is of conventional design, i.e. no LED technology.
- The site is an existing multi-storey car park or parking garage.
- Funding has not previously been applied for for the property.
- No CO2 compensation or subsidies for climate measures have previously been applied for for the property.
